Eliossana Heritage Trust — Last updated: 30 July 2026

The Eliossana Heritage Trust ("the Trust," "we," "us") keeps the Tarshish Atlas — a register of Jewish and Iberian heritage — and publishes free educational material. We respect the privacy of everyone who visits eliossana.org or shares something with us. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We only collect what we need:

• Your email address, if you sign up to receive our lessons. This is given by you, on purpose.

• Anything you choose to send us — for example, a family memory or testimony you contribute, and any name or contact details you include with it.

• Basic, non-identifying usage information that our website provider records automatically (such as pages viewed and general location), used only to keep the site working.

We do not collect payment information, and we do not currently ask for donations or sell anything on this site.

How we use it

We use your information to send you the lessons and updates you signed up for; to receive, safeguard, and — only with your permission — preserve or publish contributions you send us; and to keep the website secure and working. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Who helps us handle it

We use trusted service providers to run the site and send email: Wix hosts our website and sign-up forms, and Klaviyo manages our mailing list and sends our newsletters. They process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide the service.

Contributions and testimony

If you send us a family memory or testimony, we hold it with care and treat it as testimony — kept distinct from the documented historical record. We only store, contact you about, or publish it according to the specific permissions you give when you submit it, and you may withdraw it at any time.

Your choices and rights

At any time you may unsubscribe from our emails, ask what we hold about you, request a copy, correct or delete your information, or withdraw a contribution. Depending on where you live — including the European Union and the United Kingdom — you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR. To exercise any of them, email info@eliossana.org.

How long we keep it

We keep your email for as long as you wish to receive our lessons, and contributions according to the permissions you gave. If you ask us to remove your information, we will, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new date.
